Covid cancellation policy

To help you book with confidence during these uncertain times we have reduced our cancellation notice period to just 48 hours until the end of March 2021. If you need to change your plans for any reason, please just let us know by midday two days before your arrival date to avoid a one night cancellation fee.

General information

Please be aware that the Lime Tree Hotel is situated in a historic Grade II-listed building and therefore we do not have an elevator – just lots of stairs! If you require a lower room please let us know at the time of booking and we will do our best to accommodate your requirements. Staff are always on hand to help with luggage.

We operate a strict no-smoking policy throughout the building.

Payments

When you book a stay at the Lime Tree we will ask for your credit or debit card details. We will store these securely in order to guarantee the reservation but we will not process any advance payment on the card unless you specifically ask us to do so. We normally take payment at check out; we accept all major credit / debit cards and cash.

Amending or Cancelling your Booking

We understand that sometimes you need to change your plans. Should you need to alter your reservation in any way please be aware that our cancellation notice period is seven days. Any cancellation or alteration must be in written form only (which can be e-mail). Later cancellations will, unfortunately, incur a penalty equal to one night’s accommodation. No-shows or cancellations received less than 72 hours (three days) prior to arrival will incur a penalty equal to two night’s accommodation (just one for single night stays).

Bookings of four nights or more will be subject to a 5% administration charge if cancelled within 30 days of arrival. If cancelled within seven days of arrival our standard late cancellation policies (above) will apply instead.

Group Bookings

For Group reservations or single reservations that fall during certain peak times, we reserve the right to increase the time required to cancel your room(s). A Group reservation is considered any booking of three rooms or more. Any variation to our standard policies will be made clear to you on confirmation of the booking. We may ask for additional information from you in order to confirm a Group reservation with us.

Check In & Check Out Times

Check in time is 2.30pm; check out time is 10.30am, although we do aim to be as flexible as possible.

Extra Beds & Child Cots

Due to the historic nature of our building we are not able to offer any extra beds or cots in our guest rooms.

We regret that we are unable to accommodate children under 5 years of age.

Pet Policy

Sorry but we do not allow pets at the Lime Tree Hotel. Guide dogs are permitted.

Damage

We reserve the right to charge your credit or debit card to cover the cost of rectifying any damage caused to hotel property or replacing any items that are missing when you leave.

Lost Property

We always do our very best to return any found items, however for large or heavy items we may have to charge for the cost of postage. Due to the high volume of lost property we reserve the right to dispose of any unclaimed items after 3 weeks.
