Classic on the outside,
cosy on the inside

The Lime Tree is a historic townhouse hotel combining the laid-back warmth of a Georgian family home with up-to-date styling and the friendliest service. Upstairs our 26 bedrooms offer a haven from busy days out around town. Downstairs you’ll find our pretty walled garden, restful lounge and in-house café-style restaurant, The Buttery, providing our guests with delicious breakfasts and a lovely space to recharge and socialise during the day.

Staying with Us

The Lime Tree is situated in a beautiful Grade II-listed building almost two centuries old, and thankfully every effort has been taken to preserve its original character. Many of our rooms feature grand high ceilings, open fireplaces and original cornicing – with the odd creaky floorboard too!

About

Mind the Step

Due to our historic status we don’t have a lift, so if you can’t manage stairs easily please do ask us in advance for a room on a lower floor (staff are always available to help with luggage). Given our central location in upmarket Belgravia, please also note that room sizes can be smaller than you might be used to in out-of-town locations.

Our Area

Sited adjacent to the junction of Ebury Street and Elizabeth Street, often named ‘London’s prettiest street’, we enjoy the lovely village-like atmosphere of south Belgravia, surrounded by a wonderful selection of independent coffee houses, restaurants and boutiques.

Buckingham Palace, Westminster Abbey, Harrods and the museums of South Kensington are all within easy walking distance, while the West End’s shops and theatres, the Tower, the London Eye and St Paul’s Cathedral are all quickly accessible by bus or underground.
