It’s pretty lonely around here…

Published 29th May 2020

Late May is usually a vibrant time of year for us here in Belgravia as our summer season kicks off with one of the busiest weeks in the calendar, Chelsea Flower Show. ‘Chelsea week’ is always a joyous time when our neighbourhood throngs with well-heeled gents and well-hatted ladies on their way to enjoy the glorious gardens at the world-famous horticultural show.

Sadly things are a little quieter this year, with almost all our local shops, restaurants and attractions closed for the time being, but we’re making the most of the slower pace of life and focusing on a bit of horticulture of our own, nurturing some lovely greenery to adorn the newly-refurbished Lime Tree.

We’re not sure what kind of conditions we’ll be working in when we open our doors again later this summer, but it goes without saying we’ll have measures in place to ensure things are as safe and pleasant as possible – with rigorous cleaning, safe distancing and flexible cancellation policies.

In the meantime, we want to say a heartfelt thank you for all the messages of support we’ve received from our wonderful friends around the world, with your help we’re looking forward to seeing the Lime Tree full of life and laughter again one day soon.
